The German Fetish Ball in Berlin again was a great weekend with many nice fetish people from all over the world. Personally I bought a great new outfit at the Fetish Fair from Bodycult, nice latex frog gloves from Latex101, a hood from Blackstyle, a SM comic book from Fuchskind and a crop from RS Metalldesign.
The Guerilla Revolution party at the Kitkat Club was nice, the location is great and the guests were partying hard, even though some of the club's regulars seemed a little strange. The ball at the Matrix was fabulous as always, the fashions shows nice and the paint & bondage show by Kumi and Rope Marks was the funniest bondage show I have ever seen.
Bye bye Berlin German Fetish Ball moves to Hamburg
(2/Jun/2009)
A surprise new information was released at the GFB weekend: Next year's German Fetish Ball will move in time and space and take place on the ascension day (german: Himmelfahrt) weekend - a week before the pentecost weekend - and in Hamburg instead of Berlin. This is good news for all Gothics and Fetishists who want to go to the big german WGT (Wave Gothik Treffen) in Leipzig, which until now was always on the same weekend as GFB. So now there is no more need to decide which event to go to and fetishists can have two great weekends back to back.

This easter weekend, the annual Fetish Evolution again took place in Essen, Germany. We were not there, but thanks to our good friend Canadian photographer Martin Perreault we have a number of photos from the Fetish Evolution Ball to show you, featuring Bianca Beauchamp in a lovely red Star Trek dress and Martin himself as Spock. Great Outfits! [Click here to see the photos}

The Metropolitan Musem of Art in New York had a very nice exhibition last year about the fashions of Super Heroes and how they have inspired the fashion scene. Among the featured items there was Thierry Mugler's famous sexy robot suit, a full body shell out of metal and transparent plastic, that transforms the wearer into a sort of living robot. Some of Mugler's other designs were shown as well, most of which have a lot of fetish influence.
When Beyoncé Knowles saw those items, she approached Mugler to design the outfits for her new "I am ..." world tour. The result is very interesting, maybe not latex, but certainly very fetish inspired.
And apparently Beyoncé couldn't resist the temptation to get into that sexy robot suit herself. Well, who could. ;-). Unlike everybody else however, she actually had the chance to become that chrome plated robot and Thierry Mugler even modified it slightly for her. Robot-Beyoncé appears in a videoclip on a big screen during the concert. I guess that alone should be worth buying a ticket.

In early May the Latextrem party is back in Hannover, Germany. Located in an old WW2 Bunker, the party has a very interesting location that adds a lot to the party's flair. A few shows round up a nice party evening and afternoon workshops and a brunch make for a whole weekend of fetish fun.

A new Anime movie is coming to Animax TV (Asia) soon, called "LaMB". The story takes place on a remote planet that has a unique way of punishment for criminals. Instead of going to prison, they are permamently "laminated" into tight shiny and partly transparent suits and equipped with chip implants, that limit their freedom. They cannot talk or have any facial expressions and are used for slave labour. If they misbehave in any way, their LaMB-Suit immediatelly punishes them with electroshocks.
One of the main characters is a beautiful blonde girl who is laminated for a deadly accident that she caused. Her "shepherd" (owner) is a man who falls in love with the laminated girl that is limited to an almost robot like state by the restraints of her suit.
Sounds as if the writers had some fetish background. ;-) (Thanks to U.P. for the tip.)

Did you ever think, someone should do a reality TV programme or at least a TV documentary about BDSM and Fetishism that is not biased and not exploitative? Well, someone did.
Originally produced for Canadian television, the TV show "KINK" is a professionally produced series of documentary shorts about real people from the BDSM and fetish scene. Without any narration they talk freely about their fetishes as well as their problems, they openly share their thoughts about their fetish life. Actual play-scenes are shown but never in a pornographic way. It is an intriguing glimpse into the life of real fetish people with all different kinds of fetish, BDSM and transgender preferences. Not necessarily something to get viewers overly exited, but certainly interesting learning material, especially for those, who are new to the matter but interested to learn about different aspects of it. My personal favourite: Season three, episode five features a nice couple with a vacuumbed. ;-)
All five seasons of "KINK" are now available on DVD - each season has 13 episodes which are about 23 minutes each so it comes to a total of about five hours per season.
UPDATE: Now the individual episodes can also be bought via download from the official site.

Amber Moelter still loves latex. Her turn in a catsuit for the short film Catwoman: Resolution caught the attention of fetish fans in 2007, and her new YouTube mash-up of Katy Perry's I Kissed A Girl proves that she still gets a kick out of wearing a sexy latex outfit. "I could live in this red dress all day." she laughs.
The YouTube clip mixes the song with glimpses of Amber's new film, Dirty Step Upstage, and of the character known for now just as Girl In The Red Dress. "The red latex dress was a happy accident," she says. "I searched for the perfect red dress to suit the film, but nothing was right. Then I remembered Laura at Vex Clothing in Chicago, who I worked with on Catwoman: Resolution, and it all came together. The dress is seriously sexy. Wearing it makes me feel powerful...and slightly evil."
Some evil thoughts may have occurred to late-night partygoers in London's Soho, where the scenes were filmed. "By the time we got on set I forgot that the crew members and extras hadn't already seen it. It wasn't until I was walking around on the seediest streets of Soho in it at midnight after the shoot that I remembered the power of a latex dress. The guys checking me out were probably wondering which club I worked in."
For Amber, the reactions the dress gets from other people is key to its appeal. "When I'm that character in front of the cameras I feel an amazing empowerment," she says. "In between shots I actually forget I'm wearing it, but when someone new sees it I'm reminded of its subversiveness. The reaction that the dress garners is part of what makes it a turn on to wear."
The last time Amber caused a stir in latex, it was thanks to the spectacular purple and black catsuit created by Vex for Catwoman: Resolution. "As soon as I put on a latex catsuit I fell in love. In the latex I just felt so agile and sexy. The outfit in Resolution felt really revealing, even though there was actually a little black body-suit over the purple one so I was really wearing more layers than a straight catsuit. With the garters drawing attention to my upper thighs and my butt sticking out, it's much more of a dominatrix style." More Catwoman projects are planned, and if Amber gets her way they'll feature an even more dramatic version of the iconic catsuit.
"Latex is like the sexiest woman you know," she jokes. "No matter the situation, you can't take your eyes off her. You cannot help but slip away to the dark parts of your mind and think about what you could do with her."

Last friday british model Katie "Jordan" Price apparently wanted to get noticed in the gossip columns again, so she put on a nice black and white latex schoolgirl uniform with matching latex stockings. According to reports from London she first went to the "Embassy" club where she stayed about an hour and then went over to "Movida" where she went in the front entrance and straight out again through the back. The left of her high heeled shoes was open (maybe broken) so she had to be supported by her bodyguard.

Berlin latex couture label Très Bonjour presented their new latex lingerie collection with a unique event on Novermber 29th, 2008.
The night featured latex dessous and artistic visuals. The main attraction was of course the latex lingerie fashion show but there was also an artistic room installation called "Deep Sea Geishas" by Till Nowak and of course the aftershow party.
The nice hats were kindly designed and supplied by Hat Affairs.

In a time when MySpace randomly targets fetishists and deletes their accounts without notice, it becomes increasingly clear, that a community owned by a right wing conservative does not approve of sexually active and imaginative people - not even if they behave.
So it seems fetishists need their own online community and so it happens that on October 10th, 2008, the new website "KinkySpace.com" has launched. It's a bit like MySpace, just without the prudity - and even "Tom" is there. ;-)

A fire heavily damaged the workshop of Canadian latex designer "Polymorphe" in Montreal on August 25th. People were not hurt and it is yet unclear how much of the latex was destroyed or damaged, but it seems the place was set on fire by an unknown arsonist. Hopefully, Mario and his crew will recover soon.

Russian MTV has a presenter called Irena who apparently frequently hosts her show wearing different latex outfits. Found this (and more of her) on YouTube.

She was the first fetish supermodel - long before the internet and digital cameras, Bettie Page appeared in photos and films. Today she is a pin-up legend, an icon of burlesque dancing and admired by bondage fans worldwide, even though she already ended her career in the late 1950s. A movie has been made about her life ("The notorious Bettie Page").
Bettie Page died in a hospital in Los Angeles on December 11, 2008 after suffering a heart attack a few weeks earlier, she was 85 years old.
Bettie Page - April 22, 1923 - December 11, 2008.
Victoria Beckham Latex Boots
(11/Oct/2008)
I just found these photos of Victoria Beckham in some very interesting "heel-less" high heeled boots, that seem to be made of latex. I know they say it's PVC, but it looks much more like latex to me.
Update: Our reader Roman has found more photos of them here.
Encyclopedia: Latex Wiki
(5/May/2007)
Rasmus, the man behind the well known fetish blog 3XL from Denmark has just started a new project: A latex encyclopedia, the "Latex Wiki". He says that Wikipedia have now purged 99% of their fetish content and therefore the need to create an encyclopedia devoted mainly to latex fetish content became imminent. Now it just needs to be filled with content, so go ahead and join in the (latex) fun!

Frl. Ehrhardt: High Gloss Dolls
(27/Dec/2006)
German latex designer ''Fräulein Ehrhardt'' has made a name for herself designing sexy latex items for women that are equally at home in high fashion as they are in the fetish scene. Katja Ehrhardt, former designer for Marquis fashion, has developed a very unique style of latex items with that certain female touch.
For a while now, she has also been doing her own latex photography, taking pictures of beautiful models in her own latex designs. Finally, she has opened a website with her own photography, aptly named "HighGloss Dolls". Very nice!
Imagination and Creativity: LATEX FUN IN JAPAN
(27/Feb/2006)
Karin and Wanco, a japanese rubber couple from Tokyo have been designing their own very colourful rubber clothes for some time now. Their great imagination and playfulness make for some very extraordinary colourful and unique latex outfits. They have taught themselves how to make latex by trial and error over the years and now that they have perfected their craft, they are teaching their friends and are holding latex design parties where everybody works together in designing their own latex outfits.
They have also improved the vacbed into a very interesting "3D Vacubox" where the subject enters standing up.
